Would You Ever Host a Taser Party?

If you’re a woman, you’ve probably been invited to an Avon, Pampered Chef, or Passion party before. They’re actually a great way to shop and hang out with the girls while you sip wine and enjoy tasty hors d’oeuvres. But the ladies in Phoenix, Ariz., are replacing the Tupperware parties with something a lot more shocking: taser parties.

Dana Leigh Shafman the President and Owner of Shieldher Inc., hosted what seems to be one of the first “taser parties” ever. She even invited an off-duty law enforcement officer, who demoed the nonlethal weapon to her friends. Afterward, the ladies were allowed to look and handle the devices, which are available in pink, blue, and other colors.

I have a feeling this won’t be the last taser party we hear about, since metallic pink taser guns are all the rage. Ms. Rigberg seems to think taser guns “make you more confident” in certain situations where you might be uncomfortable.

I know it’s crazy, but I’d love to attend a taser party myself, so if any of you Bay Area ladies decides to host one, send me an invite.

Ladies, what’s your take here? Would you host or attend a taser party for all your friends? Diy Self Defense has the products for your next taser party contact them for specail packages.

What Is a Taser C2 , Do I Need One ?

First lets discuss the Difference Between a Taser and a Stun Gun?

The concept of this type of defense technology still confuses many people. For most of us the two devices are blatantly diverse and we know the difference but for those who are still in the dark allow me to quickly explain.

The stun gun is a very short range protection device. Of course there are many good products out there that are small and stylish that work quite well but the one draw back remains that any persons trying to violate you must come within reach. This means entering your personal space which can be frightening and intense. The product must touch the person and to some this is too close for comfort.

A C2 taser works a little differently. It basically shoots small metal spikes into the perpetrator allowing the victim to remain at a safe distance. This offers peace of mind knowing that you don’t have to risk yourself by letting them get too close before making your move.

So now that you know the differences, the question I mostly get is “Who Should Own A Taser”?

Anyone can own this taser for personal or home protection. The big advantage of owning a Tazer c2, they are a safer substitute to buying a gun.

Bullets kill, Im not going to go in to a rant how guns are evil ..yada , yada, yada…they do have their place and not that there is anything wrong with a person exercising their constitutional right to bear arms; safety should be your primary concern.

If not for the person about to violate you, then at least for your family’s sake think about an alternative weapon The C2 Taser.

To obtain this weapon however, there is a background check that you must first complete.

It only takes a few moments and you can choose to do it via internet or telephone depending on where you are buying from.

I got my c2 taser at diyselfdefense and I am glad I did !!! If you would like to to get a C2 taser at a great sale price go to Diy Self Defense

North Carolina Crime Rate Up For The Second Year In A Row

chart-_rise.jpg
Attorney General Roy Cooper says the number of reported crimes in North Carolina increased slightly last year.

Cooper released figures Tuesday show that the crime rate increased by about one-tenth of a percent in 2007. That marks the second year in a row the state’s crime rate has increased.

The data show reported rapes, assaults and robberies decreased slightly. But the state’s murder rate increased by 8.5 percent.

Cooper said law enforcement officers are concerned the state’s crime rate will rise if the economy continues to slow. He called on state officials to fund prevention efforts and give officers more crime-fighting resources.

Macon County Georgia Weekend Crime Spree

By Ashley Tusan Joyner

Macon police say last weekend was just one of those weekends.

A rash of violent crimes happened in less than 36 hours Saturday and Sunday but none of the five incidents, all involving guns, appear to be related, Capt. Jimmy Barbee said.

Crimes

Just before noon Saturday, a Macon police officer shot an alleged car thief in the Macon Mall parking lot after the driver attempted to run him over with a pickup truck. The suspect, Brandon Stapleton, 22, was released from the hospital Sunday and is in the Bibb County jail.

Later that day, gunmen pistol-whipped a 41-year-old man while his home in the 3900 block of Dover Street was robbed. The assailants then shot into a woman’s vehicle, grazing her in the back, after the beaten man jumped inside and tried to flee the scene.

About 2 a.m. Sunday, a man was killed and another man was pistol-whipped during a robbery outside at the Versailles Apartments off Bloomfield Drive.

At a SunTrust Bank ATM on Pio Nono Avenue on Sunday afternoon, a masked man shot into a 73-year-old man’s truck, robbing him moments later. The man was not injured.

Sunday about 6:45 p.m., two Macon teenagers were shot at a house on Lawton Drive. Police said the shooting stemmed from a fight earlier in the day.

Macon police later arrested 36-year-old Darrell Kartez Butler Sr. in connection with the shooting. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and remains in custody at the Bibb County jail.

Police have no suspects in the two armed robberies and the killing.

“We have some things that we’re following up on, but we can’t say there’s a connection (between the incidents),” Barbee said. “We’ll look at things that happened this weekend, last weekend and things that happened last month.”

Barbee said he doesn’t think the recent start of summer break for school kids caused the high crime weekend.

“Nothing in our investigations so far indicates that. Some weekends we have a multitude of things, others not,” he said. “We just had some evil people doing evil things. None of these incidents needed to happen.”

Macon police officer Jeffery Scott Johnson, who fired 11 times into a stolen 2008 Toyota Tundra at the Macon Mall on Saturday, is on paid administrative leave until Wednesday to de-stress after the incident, according to police.

An internal affairs investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Each police use of “deadly force” is investigated by the Macon police internal affairs department.

A family spokeswoman for 45-year-old Roberto Garcia, who was killed early Sunday in the Bloomfield Srive incident, said funeral arrangements for Garcia are under way and the service will take place in Mexico. Marco Garcia, 26, who suffered a head injury in the beating, is recovering from his injuries. Police said the two men lived together, but are not related.
